Technical Writer

Skills / Experience Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of relevant experience in a similar position
  • Strong English skills – reading / TECHNICAL writing / translating (upper-intermediate level)
  • General understanding of software development, it’s lifecycle and agile development methodology
  • Experienced internet user
  • High level of IT literacy
  • Experience of user manuals development

Personal Requirements:

  • Self-organized, ability to work under minimum control
  • Good communication skills, ability to work in a team
  • Strong logical thinking, fast-learner
  • Ability to create detailed, strong and professional-looking manuals
  • Communicate with developers effectively, ask right questions and understand software functionality quickly

Languages and tools requirements:

  • Microsoft Word – advanced level
  • Microsoft Visio (not required, but is a plus)
  • Adobe Photoshop (at least basic level)
  • Adobe PageMaker, Adobe FrameMaker, QuarkXpress (not required, but is a plus).
  • HTML / HTML help developing tools (not required, but is a big plus)
  • You should also be able to provide examples of documentation in English

  • Developing user manuals and functionality descriptions
  • Communicating with developers
  • Project Scope Analysis
  • Translating technical and administrative documents / texts
