Resorts of Ukraine: where to go and how much vacation will cost for Ukrainians in 2018

The holiday season has begun, and the question immediately arises, where to spend your vacation, again to Odessa? As for housing prices, prices have not yet become cosmic. But this is for now, since there will be not tendency to reduce prices in comparison with the previous year, it will only increase. After 2014, when Ukrainian tourism was in the pit, prices are increasing by about 10-15% every year.

The largest and most popular resort city, to this day, is Odessa in our country. Prices in Odessa have steadily increased, and will increase together with the height of the holiday season.

If you consider the less popular destinations-small resort towns such as: Skadovsk, Lazurne, Chornomorsk, Berdiansk, Koblevo, Henichesk, Zatoka and Mariupol, then prices in these areas are quite affordable, but as far as service is concerned, the question is controversial.

Lazurne offers villas, prices for which will start from 1700 UAH. Based on our statistics, this location asks for the highest price. From the budget holiday you can allocate Berdiansk, where the price starts from 425 UAH per night, then Mariupol – 480 UAH per night, and Chornomorsk and Henichesk – 600 UAH per night.

Of course, wherever there is a good sea and some civilized beach, there will always be tourists, but this is not the kind of tourism that can be called mass and organized.
Due to lack of funding in the infrastructure of small resort towns, there is no service. Whatever private sectors build villas and houses for tourists, while it is physically difficult to get there by car, by train, by bus, tourism will not thrive there.
It is worth saying, the vast number of wild beaches, the lack of roads and the necessary institutions, such as hospitals, airports, railway stations and so on. The closest airport, which is located near the resort cities only in Odessa. If you consider unpopular directions, then you have to travel on trains of the postwar period, with the Soviet service of guides. To go by car, where the road indicates only direction, is not safe. Which of the following can attract a tourist to spend their vacation in such “resorts”?

While the state does not start spending money on unpopular directions, there is no question of qualitative tourism there.
What should the influence of the state look like on the abandoned regions that could become popular resorts?
The state invests, local authorities fulfill the conditions for collecting taxes in this area and thanks to this synergy, the private sector makes the service, pays taxes, further, for these taxes the infrastructure develops and only then there will be development.
