At the end of the week, on May 25 and 26, Kyiv will celebrate City Day. We have gathered the full program of celebration of the Day of Kyiv in 2019, which will take place in several locations in the city.
May 24, Friday:
- 10:00 – 14:00 – HORIZON PARK RACE FOR PEACE cycling.
- Sports orienteering competition: 8:00 – 16:00, at the territory of Hryshka National Botanical Garden (Timiriazevska Street)
- JAZZ KOLO art project (Central park of culture and recreation, summer concert of the City garden).
May 25, Saturday:
- 8:00 – 12:00 KIEVSKAYA SOTKA WOMEN CHALLENGE
- 9:00 – 17:00, Sailing regatta (Kyiv river station, berth number 6 near the church of St. Nicholas)
- 12:00 – 18:00, Ethnic Festival of National Cultures (Central park of culture, Summer performance of the City Garden)
- 12:00 – 17:30, HORIZON PARK RACE MAIDAN
- 12:00 – 22:00, “Radioday free ” festival (Konstytutsii Square near Palace)
- 12:00 – 22:00 “Country of Franciana” festival, a square near the Ivan Franko theater. The program includes concert performances, exhibitions, sale of souvenirs, dining of Ukrainian cuisine.
- The second day of the international mini-football tournament “Cup of Kyiv Mayor 2019”, “City of Sports” Park (Dolobetskyi Island)
- Opening of the International festival of children and youth creativity “Sunny Chestnut”, which will take place in Park.
- “Sources of Kobzar” festival (Singing field, 41 Lavrska Str.)
- Archikidz architecture festival for children (7 Lavrska Str.)
- The official opening ceremony of “Molodist” Kyiv International Film festival and the beginning of the work of on Poshtova Square.
- “Kyiv Ball” on Kontraktova Square.
- 20:00 – Concert with the participation of (Kontraktova Square).
May 26, Sunday:
- 8:00 – 15:00 – “Run under the chestnuts”.
The collected funds will be used to purchase equipment for the Center for Pediatric Cardiology and Cardiac Surgery of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine.
- 8:00 – 16:00 – Sports orienteering competition (Bohdana Khmelnytskoho Str.)
- 9:00 – 21:00 International Kickboxing Tournament, variety of Christening Park near Druzhby Narodiv Arch
- 10:00 – 17:00 HORIZON PARK CLASSIC
- The opening of Volodymyrskyi bicycle and pedestrian bridge, which will connect Khreshchaty Park and Volodymyrska Hill.
- 11:00-18:00 Free city tours.
