The Verkhovna Rada refused to introduce administrative responsibility for misused apartments in multi-storey buildings.
This is evidenced by the relevant draft law (6424-d) on making changes to the Housing Code of the Ukrainian RSR and other legislative acts on the rights of owners (users) of the premises of a residential building.
207 deputies voted in the first reading in favor of 226 minimum required votes at the plenary meeting on Tuesday.
Deputies, who initiated changes to the law propose to fix in the Civil Code of Ukraine a ban on the use of apartments in houses above 16 floors for a non-intended purpose – offices, hotels.
However, suppose the use of apartments in such buildings for economic activity (without the use of hired labor) only by apartment owners or registered persons, if such activity does not violate the rights of other owners or residents of the house.
