With the beginning of the holiday season, the prices for daily housing in the resort cities of Ukraine soared several times. The largest city-resort in our country is Odessa – it attracted the maximum attention of all Ukrainians who are planning this summer vacation, but without going abroad.
The service of booking accommodation for daily Dobovo.com has learned: how much the prices for housing in the holiday season have risen, how to avoid robbery and why everyone will go to Odessa this year.
Expert Dobovo: in Odessa the planned hype – the prices are growing and will grow
According to Dobovo’s operational director Dmytro Malakhov, the prices for apartments by the sea have not yet fully formed. Landlords are not in a hurry to exceed the stick with a rise in price, as they await the peak of the holiday season.
– It is expected that this year the cost of daily rent in Odessa in the holiday season will rise by about 30%. This is not surprising, because Odessa is in the top 3 most visited Ukrainian cities on a par with Kyiv and Lviv. The average cost of a 1-room apartment in Odessa is now 658 UAH / day, 2-room apartment – 990 UAH / day. Add to this amount 30% and you get an approximate price of a rented apartment in the upcoming season, – Dmytro Malakhov reports.
By the way, compared to the last holiday season, the price for daily rent of housing in Odessa grew by an average of 15%. This is evidenced by the data of analysts Dobovo. So, in the summer of 2016 to rent a 1-room apartment for a day in Odessa it was possible for 700 UAH, and 2-room apartment – for 1000 UAH. That is, the average cost of housing in Odessa was at the level of 1000 UAH.
– The cost of housing in Odessa will be planned to rise every weekend and during public holidays. And the demand for apartments will grow until the moment when tourists are interested in beach holidays in a city with a well-developed infrastructure. By the way, it is at the expense of the infrastructure that Odessa pulls on the blanket in comparison with the small resort towns on the shore of the Sea of Azov, – said Dmytro Malakhov.
The price depends on the month: when is it better to go to Odessa

How not to get on the robbery: expert advice
One of the most unpleasant moments of your vacation could be a possible scam with renting an apartment. Especially if you book a flat for a day during your vacation, you decide on the “bulletin board” website.
– Some tourists still prefer the proven services of booking an “announcement board” on the Internet. As a result: you leave an advance payment for an apartment right on the seaside at a very favorable price, come to Odessa and understand that you were deceived, – says Dobovo’s COO.
According to Dmiytro Malakhov, the only way to avoid such a fate is to book accommodation for holidays on trusted sites.
– Choose reservation services with high ratings and a large number of reviews – here you are provided with a convenient lease scheme and a guarantee of high service.
