On the 31st of October a lot of Ukrainians will be glad to leave behind all their problems and cares, pick a funny or scary costume which they have started preparing few months ago and go to celebrate Halloween that has become quite a familiar holiday of fun and revelry in our region. They will be accompanied as well by those who have completely forgot about the holiday and made up their costumes of what they managed to find at home. We decided to take care of everyone and prepared a guide covering events of this scaring Saturday night.
Kiev
Before doing for dancing and drinking hot beverages you can have good time during the day and even take children with you. You can enjoy subject-focused events in the outlet village “Manufactura”. In this terrible night you can also join the party in Bingo celebrating Halloween in the rock format. Dances there will last for 12 hours, and you will be able to modify your scary costume. Lviv
Taking a walk around Lviv in Halloween night you will surely find what to do. Get ready for partying: make a plan and invite your friends not to get lost. The number of places to party here is not less than in any European city, just take this advantage. Visit ” Masoch-cafe” where they will be for sure arranging some festivities and subject-related costumes. Alternatively, you can take a whip or handcuffs with you and you will perfectly fit in with the place.
But do not stay long there, go and eat your meal in the “Gas Lamp” Pub-Museum. This pub is the best place for Halloween. In the twilight find the waiter to scare him with your terrible vampire teeth and order all the liqueurs from the menu. After heavy drinking you will most likely be enough brave to continue adventures on the Lychakivske cemetery, one of the most beautiful and mystical places in Ukraine. At night you can look for ghosts there or arrange a thematic photo session.
Those less bold can take a walks little bit further from the graves and visit the High Castle. Great views of the night Lviv and a bottle of champagne will comfort you even in the coldest night, and costume of medieval knight or princess will be just perfect.

Odessa
Odessa is not less mysterious than Lviv, and Halloween there is always a fun time. Get dressed as a sailor, mermaid, or a large shrimp and walk around the city – that is a guarantee of positive emotions. Sea subjects will be always appreciated you will be surprised by people making selfie with you.
There are several mystical places in Odessa surrounded by urban legends. One of those is Preobrazhenskiy park, situated in the area where a cemetery used to be situated. They say that there is one lunatic wandering there and throwing on skull and bones. It is a great checkpoint for you and your friendly company to spend a night searching for abandoned graves or other urban characters.
One more terrible place in Odessa is lazaretto – frightening complex in city clinic hospital where you will for sure meet many interesting people. We would offer you to look for spirits there, or just spend time in the company of friends waring costumes of vampires and zombies.
You will never get bored on Halloween in Odessa, but to start with find an apartment.
