Huge parks, nature, theme aquapark and many-many monuments. Kharkiv is a city that has a lot of stories and reveals them with every passing street.
Svobody Square
The main square of the city is Svobody Square. It impresses with its size, being the sixth largest in Europe and the twelfth in the world: almost 14 hectares!
The area, without exaggeration, can accommodate the population of the whole city of average size. So, at the Queen concert in 2008, there were gathered, according to various estimates, from 150 to 350 thousand people! All major events, concerts, mass holidays, fairs are held here.

“Jungle” aquapark
Do you like extreme and fun? Then we recommend you to visit “Jungle” aquapark. This is the largest indoor aquapark in Ukraine. Everything here is styled under the tropics, and even during the cold season, you can move into a hot atmosphere with lush vegetation, waterfalls, streams, tropical rivers and traces of “ancient civilizations” in the form of fragments of rocks and pyramids.

Sarzhyn Yar park and cableway
There is an own cableway in Kharkiv. You will see magnificent views of the city and the Kharkiv Nature Reserve – Sarzhyn Yar within 10 minutes of traveling at a height of 8 to 26 meters. We also recommend wearing comfortable shoes and make a walk in the park. The hiking route is about 12 km. The Sarzhynka River flows along the bottom of the gorge.

Kharkiv’s monuments to steam locomotives
Kharkiv is the largest railway junction, and this part of its history is also reflected in the monuments. There are 5 locomotive monuments in Kharkiv and its surroundings.
There is an FD20 locomotive at the Kharkiv-passenger station. These were the most powerful locomotives in the 30’s of the last century. A rail bus, locomotive and locomotive is installed on Osnova station – it’s like a mini-story of the evolution of rail transport. Museum of the Southern Railway is located on the Pryvokzalna Square.
